Our films have been nominated for Emmys®, shortlisted for Clio Awards, and screened in competition at SXSW, Tribeca, and Slamdance.
John Henry Hinkel is an independent producer and filmmaker. Previously, he worked for producer John Lesher on the Academy Award-winning film Birdman, as well as box office hits Fury, Black Mass, and End of Watch. After leaving Le Grisbi, he produced Auggie, which was distributed theatrically by Samuel Goldwyn Films, the Emmy-nominated Netflix docuseries The Playbook, the Emmy-nominated Apple TV+ docuseries They Call Me Magic, and the Amazon Studios documentary film Reggie. He is a member of the PGA and the Documentary Producers Alliance.
Andrew Ostapchenko is a filmmaker, poker player, and investor. A native Californian, he is part Ukrainian and part Puebloan. He studied filmmaking at Harvard University under professors Robb Moss, Michael Almereyda, and Lucien Castaing-Taylor. For his undergraduate thesis, he directed a documentary exploring the underground poker community in the Carolinas. This film ignited his passion for the game and after graduating he began a career as a professional poker player. His career has led to many successes, including breaking the world record for the most consecutive cashes in the Main Event of the World Series of Poker.
